The waste that pollutes the least is that which we do not produce.

The development, implementation and monitoring of the Residual Materials Management Plan (RMMP) aims to achieve the objectives of the Quebec Residual Materials Management Policy in the Haut-Saint-Laurent region.

Using tools and awareness campaigns, the MRC encourages the population to apply, in order, the 4Rs, namely: reduction at the source, reuse, recycling and recovery of residual materials. Elimination is and should always be the last resort.

Recyclable materials, green waste and HHW are precious resources that should not be wasted, but valued through appropriate collections.
