The leaves are changing and the weather is turning cool, autumn has arrived! The theme the organizations of the Haut-Saint-Laurent will be presenting at the next Communi-T Night will be Safety and Prevention. They will be sharing their prevention tools, tips and resources contributing to improving the safety of the various living environments of citizens of all ages in our community.
For the occasion, we invite you to the Godmanchester fire station, 2282 Ridge Road, October 16, 2018 between 5-7 p.m. Two kinds of comforting soups and snacks will be offered free of charge. Violette will entertain the 0-7 year-olds in the play area and it on hand a certified person can verify the installation of your child’s car seat.
A networking activity in the form of an interactive bingo will also be organized by the Beauharnois Valleyfield Haut-Saint-Laurent Chamber of Commerce and Industry to provide information on their members’ services.
The Community Nights are an opportunity to cultivate a sense of belonging to the Haut-Saint-Laurent by stimulating community development and creating networking opportunities for citizens, all free of charge. They provide opportunities for engaging in meaningful encounters and forging bridges between Francophone and Anglophone communities, between organizations and citizens, and between citizens and their fellow citizens. You will find information on a wide range of resources available in the area.
The mission and the partners of the Communi-T Nights
The goal of the Communi-T Nights is to help the development of regional solidarity by giving access to a place of information, exchange and social participation. A place where citizens of all ages and from all cultural backgrounds living in the Haut-Saint-Laurent will meet representatives of organizations, promoting knowledge and use of the services and workshops they offer, from all sectors of the territory. These events take place in the different municipalities of the region.
The partners behind the organisation of these events include the New Frontiers School Board (NFSB), the Community Learning Centres (CLC), the Commission scolaire de la Vallée-des-Tisserands (CSVT), the Corporation de développement communautaire (CDC) du Haut-Saint-Laurent, the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent, the Centre intégré de santé et services sociaux de la Montérégie-Ouest (CISSSMO)-territoire du Haut-Saint-Laurent, the Réseau 0-5, the organisations Moisson Sud-Ouest and La Bouffe Additionnelle and Leahy Orchards. Finally, a huge thank you to the staff of the Godmanchester town hall for their warm welcome and contribution to the success of this evening.
